Kaupa Retains Moresby North-East Open Seat

Sitting Member for Moresby North-East and PANGU Pati candidate John Kaupa has retained his seat. Mr. Kaupa was officially declared at 2pm this afternoon by the Returning Officer, Billy George at the Sir John Guise Stadium. Mr. Kaupa polled 18,365 votes surpassing the absolute majority of 18,038. His runner up, independent candidate, Andapanga Alfred Baliawe polled 17,508 votes. In his speech, Mr. Kaupa acknowledged the people of Moresby North-East for having the trust and confidence in him to serve them for another term of Parliament. He also thanked the other 75 candidates for a good race in the national election and for ensuring the smooth running of the counting process. Mr. Kaupa said he hopes to work with the other candidates to develop the electorate. On hand to witness the ceremony were Deputy Prime Minister, John Rosso and Hela Governor, Philip Undialu. Cupra in Ireland, another year of growth

The Cupra Formentor compact SUV was the VW-owned performance brand’s biggest seller in Ireland in 2022, with 521 units, writes Brian Byrne. In second place was the Cupra Born electric hatchback, with 126 units. The Irish distributor says demand outstripped supply for its models because of disruption caused by the war in Ukraine and supply chain issues, but nevertheless they achieved growth for the fourth year in succession in the Irish market. The other models in the Cupra range are the Leon hatchback and Sportstourer and the Ateca SUV.
