Did I just Kill My Lemon Tree? Is my Lemon Dead? The answer may surprise...

My lemon tree has come through the winter looking like a stack of dead twigs so did I just kill my lemon tree? The answer may surprise you but rather than give the surprise away here you should check out the video instead. Lemon trees are a fantastic addition to the summer garden and are surprisingly robust and easy to grow. What they don’t like however is freezing conditions but there are an increasing number of cultivars that are capable of tolerating cold winters such as the meyers lemon. Last year winter was particularly cold with temperatures dropping to -7 degrees Celsius, far colder than even the hardiest lemons to cope with even with winter protection. So what happened to our lemon when the spring finally arrived? ell check out the above video to find out. My Favourite Vegan Documentaries and Films

One of the easiest ways to learn more about veganism (or show your friends and loved ones more about veganism) is to watch it in a documentary or film. But with so many new vegan documentaries out there, all varying in degrees of graphicness, how do you choose the best one for you? I read (okay skimmed) a lot of blog posts about vegan documentaries and, put frankly, they’re overwhelming – who in their right minds is going to sit through 50 vegan documentaries? Why do all the blog posts mention the same vegan documentaries? And why are all these blog posts written by people who’ve clearly never watched said documentaries? In this blog post I’ve tried to be super personal, and I’ve written it with the idea that you are my friend* and you’re asking me for a recommendation: maybe you want something non-graphic, maybe you want something super-graphic, maybe you want something about a specific part of veganism (no-honey, no-leather etc). I’ve tried to cover all basis – let me know if I’ve mi

Port Moresby Governor Parkop denies Allegations of Election bribery

National Capital District Governor, Powes Parkop, has denied allegations that he was carrying a substantial amount of money to buy votes on the eve of today’s polling in the nation’s Capital. Governor Parkop Mr Parkop was picked up by police yesterday evening at the 5 Mile roundabout when he was returning from Gereka after meeting with his campaign coordinators. Police found K25 000 in his car, and took him in for questioning at the Boroko Police Station for four hours, but later released him. Mr Parkop told reporters last night that he was not arrested but only asked to provide a statement of his routine of the day.  He says that these allegations by rival candidates in the 11th hour are a bad practice, and not befitting of a leader. Mr. Parkop said that the money will be used to pay for his 800 plus scrutineers. NBC / PNG Today Next :  SP PNG Hunters team for Round 14 match against Wynnum-Manly Seagulls

Review: BMW i4 - Brian Byrne, Irish Car

Of 44 cars I have reviewed through 2022, 16 have been electric, writes Brian Byrne. That’s more than a third. And significantly more than the 15pc which electric cars represent in the 2022 national car sales figures. But the key figure there is that this year sales of EVs increased by some 83pc over 2021, so the trend is unmistakeable, and only going in one direction. For the record, the biggest seller by several of the proverbial country miles is Volkswagen’s ID.4, with almost 3,000 delivered, from Hyundai’s Ionioq 5 (1,164), Tesla’s Model 3 (1,042), Kia’s EV6 (955), and VW’s ID.3 (922) together making up the top five models among the more than 60 different electric passenger vehicles available here. My review car this week, the BMW i4, is down in 15th place, which is still a respectable position for a premium D-segment saloon in liftback format. The really interesting part here is that what is BMW’s first dedicated electric non-SUV model outsold its related 4 Series internal combusti
