My Favourite Vegan Documentaries and Films

One of the easiest ways to learn more about veganism (or show your friends and loved ones more about veganism) is to watch it in a documentary or film. But with so many new vegan documentaries out there, all varying in degrees of graphicness, how do you choose the best one for you? I read (okay skimmed) a lot of blog posts about vegan documentaries and, put frankly, they’re overwhelming – who in their right minds is going to sit through 50 vegan documentaries? Why do all the blog posts mention the same vegan documentaries? And why are all these blog posts written by people who’ve clearly never watched said documentaries? In this blog post I’ve tried to be super personal, and I’ve written it with the idea that you are my friend* and you’re asking me for a recommendation: maybe you want something non-graphic, maybe you want something super-graphic, maybe you want something about a specific part of veganism (no-honey, no-leather etc). PNG Prime Minister James Marape Blames Electoral Commission for Election hiccups

Papua New Guinea Prime Minister and the sitting Member for Tari Pori has expressed concern over the manner in which the election is being conducted so far. James Marape expressed this concern today in his electorate in Hela Province, where counting will start tomorrow.  He said preparations and logistics were slow and the electoral roll was not adequately prepared. Mr. Marape said there was a drop of about 800 names from the roll in his village – adding that no-one should be turned away at the polls. He’s promised to fix these issues when he forms Government. Meanwhile, East Sepik Government Allan Bird wants the new government to consider creating a Special Parliamentary Committee on Elections, to oversee some roles of the Electoral Commission. He says that the provinces should also apply to the Supreme Court to remove the functions of Electoral roll updates from the Electoral Commission and take it to the provinces. PNG PM Marape Meets Japanese PM Fumio Kishida in Tokyo

 Papua New Guinea Prime Minister James Marape says he is privileged to have met Japanese Prime Minister Hon. Fumio Kishida in Tokyo today (Tuesday, September 27, 2022) before the state funeral of former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe. PM Marape, one of many world leaders attending Abe’s funeral, had a bilateral meeting with PM Kishida at Akasaka Palace this morning. He was accompanied by International Trade and Investment Minister Hon. Richard Maru, East Sepik Governor Hon. Allan Bird and Papua New Guinea Ambassador to Japan H.E. Samuel Abal The Prime Minister, who is in Tokyo for a day before leaving for Washington DC to attend the Pacific Islands’ Summit, also met with executives of three top energy companies – Sojitz, JX Nippon Oil & Gas Exploration Corporation and LNG Japan Corporation.
