Papua New Guinea’s National flag carrier, Air Niugini has performed exceptionally well in delivering its schedule, outperforming many airlines in Australia and the Pacific. In June Air Niugini operated 2,260 flights with 2,104 of those serving the domestic market.  A Medical Doctor at Port Moresby General Hospital (POMGEN) was assaulted by an Asian shop manager, security guards and few male employees of Bulk Trading shop located inside the ANZ Compound opposite Boroko Motors in Port Moresby.  Dr. Kaycii Amoko, a General Surgeon at POMGEN who graduated with a Master’s Degree of Medicine in Surgery last week Friday from the University of Papua New Guinea was buying some goods at the shop on Monday, May 1, 2023 when the incident happened. Dr. Amoko said he came to the checkout counter with the trolley and due to internet banking issues his transaction was taking time to process  The Asian shop manager became impatient with him and started cursing.  Dr. Amoko says he heard him cursing  right behind him so he turned to him and argued with to a scuffle and the Doctor was immediately surrounded by few security guards and male employees who punched him several times on his head and face only to be rescued by other kind shoppers.  He recalls the Asian sh...
