PNG Police Chief Appeals to Citizens to unite to deliver 2022 Polls

Papua New Guinea Police Commissioner David Manning has appealed to people for their continued support and cooperation in delivering the 2022 National Election, as the country heads into the fifth day of polling. PNG Women's National Soccer Team arrives Home with OFC Cup

The PNG Women’s National Soccer Team arrived in the country to a rousing welcome and reception by the football fraternity, family and friends, at the Jacksons International Terminal yesterday.  PNG Women’s National Soccer Team arrives Home with OFC Cup [Photo by PNGFA] Co-Captains Megan Gunemba and Yvonne Gabong hoisted the OFC Women’s Nations Cup upon their arrival.  Accompanying them on their return was PNG Football Association President John Kapi-Natto who was proud of the team’s win.  Mr. Kapi Natto says that he is grateful that PNG has achieved so much within a space of three years, especially in women’s football. He says that they are now looking forward to the much bigger challenge which lays ahead of them, and that is the second leg of the World Cup qualifiers in New Zealand. Cupra teams with 3Arena

Ford continues support for Defence Forces Bands Concert

Ford Ireland is again supporting the annual Defence Forces Band Concert which will be held in the City Hall in Cork on Friday 24 February, writes Brian Byrne. The concert is in aid of the Defence Forces Benevolent Fund, and Ford has been involved since 1989. The event was last held in 2020 and has been absent in the last two years because of Covid restrictions. This year’s concert will feature personnel from the Bands of 1 Brigade, 2 Brigade and the Army No. 1 Band. As is traditional, the concert will also feature Defence Forces pipers and drummers, who are always very popular with the Cork audience. The guest artiste will be soprano Rachel Croash.
