PNC Party's Woman Candidate, Rufina Peter wins Central Governor Seat

People’s National Congress Party woman candidate Rufina Peter has unseated PANGU Pati’s Robert Agarobe, making her the new Governor-elect for Central Province. Rufina surpassed the absolute majority of  60,640 after the 20th exclusion of Nelson Saroa. From Mr. Saroa’s 25,551 votes, Rufina collected 6,779, making her to finish the race on the top spot with 62,361  votes. Mr. Agarobe came in second with 58,917 votes. Rufina Peter is the first woman to be declared in the 2022 National Election. PNG PM Marape Strongly Condemns Jacksons International Airport Saga

 PNG Prime Minister Hon. James Marape, MP has strongly condemned the National Airport Corporation (NAC) saga and has directed a full investigation into the sabotaging of Jacksons International Airport operations. The airport came to a complete stop in the morning of Saturday, November 12, 2022, when the airport security blocked off the airport – affecting daily operations of international and domestic flights. PM Marape directed the National Security Advisory Committee, in a National Security Council meeting the same day, to: • Take full carriage of the incident; • institute an independent investigation to ascertain exactly what had happened; and • Charge those involved in this incident. Devimane Ghat: Monsoon Beauty home to Medicinal Plants and Herbs

It gets close to 6000 mm of rain every year. It is home to a pristine ecosystem consisting of tropical rainforests, tropical evergreen forests, medicinal plants, medicinal herbs, reptiles, mammals, birds of paradise and many waterfalls, streams and rivers. It is a hill station and a lesser known monsoon giant. I am talking about the Devimane Ghat in Uttara Kannada that falls on the Sirsi-Kumta highway of Karnataka. A elephant hundi with an upswept trunk (donation box) catches your attention along with miles and miles of lush green and rows of mountain ranges. This is the location of the Durga Devi temple and the Devimane ghat view point. From here, the road dips and curves towards Kumta and the rest of the Karavali coast.
