History in Making : Samoa 27 beats England 26, books a Rugby League World Cup Grand Final Spot

 Somoa has down  England  27 – 26 in extra time to book a  historical Rugby League World Cup Grand final spot.  It is the first time in Rugby League history that  a nation outside Australia, New Zealand and England has won a semi final  to book a grand final spot in a Rugby League World Cup. Samoa will take on Australia in the Rugby League World Cup grand final  At half-time Samoa was leading 14 points to 10.  In the second, the score seesawed with England taking the lead at one point.  The game drew at 26 – 26 on full-time following a  late try from England. Strategies To Improve Elections In PNG Should Promote Transparency And Integrity Throughout The Entirety Of The 5-Year Electoral Cycle

 Transparency International PNG (TIPNG) is hosting a two-day election seminar to present the findings of its observations during the 2022 National General Elections. The event is guided by the theme “Promoting Transparency for Election Integrity” and this theme will steer discussions over the two days. Day one of the election seminar will feature TIPNG’s presentation of the key findings from its 2022 election observation report and day two will facilitate dialogue among stakeholder representatives with the objective of improving the integrity of Papua New Guinea’s election. TIPNG has presented its 2022 Election Observation Report to the Government represented by the Chairman for the Special Parliamentary Committee on Elections, Honorable Allan Bird, and the Electoral Commissioner, Simon Sinai. Air Niugini Receives Certificate of Accreditation on Dangerous Goods Training

Air Niugini has received its Certificate of Accreditation on Dangerous Goods (DG) training from International Air Transport Association (IATA), focusing on Competency-based Training and Assessments (CBTA) guidelines. This is a first, for an airline in PNG! Air Niugini’s Acting Chief Executive Officer, Gary Seddon said the accreditation followed a stringent review of the dangerous goods regulations.  CBTA is a new, mandated method of conducting and assessing DG training by International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) and IATA. He said “The accreditation means the Air Niugini Training school can provide internationally recognized dangerous goods training qualifications with co-branded IATA certification.
