PNG IDEC official government website zero - rated: Pomaleu

The Papua New Guinea Inter-Departmental Election Committee’s (IDEC) official government website:  http://elections.info.gov.pg including the Toll Free number, 1800 500 are now zero-rated on all mobile operators in the country and fully operational. IDEC Chairman and Secretary of the Department of Prime Minister and National Executive Council, Ivan Pomaleu expressed his gratitude to Vodafone, Digicel, and Telikom /Bemobile for continuously supporting the government during such a national event. The zero-rating now allows Papua New Guineans to access the website without any financial cost, especially without having data, to access the site. Mr Pomaleu is encouraging citizens to visit the website and obtain verified relevant contents  on the elections for their purpose, especially now, during this polling period. PNG Elections : Pangu expects second declaration from Hela's Margarima Open

The stage is set for the Hela Province to declare its second PANGU Member elect for the eleventh National Parliament tomorrow.  Magarima Open election counting is on cue for declaration, exactly seven days after Prime Minister James Marape was declared as M-P elect for Tari Pori.  Returning Officer Simon Olaiva, suspended counting into the elimination exercise, before 5 PM this afternoon, after the 15th exclusion of Peter Pipon. After the 15th exclusion, PANGU Party candidate and incumbent M-P Manasseh Makiba still maintain his lead with 14, 301 votes.  This is followed by Independent candidates, Wakinda Benson on 8, 330, followed by Paul Agiru on 7, 823 votes, and Tony Panda with 6, 901 votes.  The second and third preference votes for candidate Peter Pipon, will be shared among the remaining four candidates tomorrow when counting resumes.  Mr. Olaiva said that he is confident that a declaration will be made by then.  Meanwhile, Counting for the Komo Hulia Open seat is also into elimi

The Papua New Guinea Minister for Foreign Affairs Justin Tkatchenko met with Saga Alhoshan, Minister for Tourism of Saudi Arabia on Thursday 23 February at the margins of the Special Leaders’Retreat in Nadi, Fiji. Both Ministers acknowledged the importance of establishing diplomatic ties between both countries to enhance trade and economic ties including promoting tourism, agricultural cooperation in diversifying economic activities as well as development cooperation in terms of infrastructure development. MG have been the first in of a wave of Chinese brand electric cars coming down the road to Europe, and are making the most of their head start here, writes Brian Byrne. We love the spring because it is a great time to asses our garden for the coming season and is a wonderful excuse for us to add new plants for our exotic garden. So we have pulled a selection of the plants we have chosen to solidify the our tropical effect garden which we hope you will enjoy. But don’t worry as we probably adding new specimens throughout the year. A number of the plants discussed here are those we have propagated ourselves or purchased online from specialist nursery’s. This is because they are very difficult to find at you local garden centre but you can usually find what you need by googling it even though it may arrive much smaller than you would expect despite the generally high postage costs!
