Tips for Travelling Vegan in Ireland

Ireland, with it’s extremely friendly people and vibrantly green wildlife, is a bucket-list destination for most. The main port of entry is Dublin Airport, if you are arriving by air the airport offers a good range of both car and campervan rental options, and pieces are fair in my estimation. (Btw if anyone is interested: I used MPV Rentals as we like to hire a 7 seater for the extra space and comfort on longer journeys…. niceeee rideee, highly recommended!) Vegan Ireland Ostensibly for (English-speaking) vegans Ireland seems like a walk in the park with one of the official languages being English (aka no language barrier) and with over 13 vegan restaurants in Dublin. But what’s it like in reality? And, more importantly, is Guinness vegan? I spent a week exploring the west coast of Ireland and this is what I found: Accidentally Vegan Traditional Irish Recipes? As a travelling vegan, I try to keep my meals as traditional as possible, whilst still keeping them meat, fish, dairy, egg an

Lakshmi Narasimha Temple at Nuggehalli: 13th century hidden architectural beauty near Bangalore

It is a 13th century hidden temple gem that is a treat to the eye. It is a richly decorated Hoysala temple built in the trikuta vimana style (3 shrines with 3 towers). And it is just 3 hours away from Bangalore making it a fabulous destination for an offbeat temple day trip from Bangalore. I am talking about the uber gorgeous Lakshmi Narasimha temple located in the Nuggehalli village of Karnataka. Built in 1246 by Bommanna Dandanayaka, a commander under the Hoysala king Vira Someshwara, the Lakshmi Narasimha temple is one of the many temples situated in Nuggehalli village. It is said that this village was called Vijaya Somanathapura in ancient times and gained importance as a place of learning during the time of Bommanna Dandanayaka. This agrahara like village is surrounded by the Lakshmi Narasimha temple, the Sadashiva temple and the Pancha lingeswara temples. In between these temples are the traditional looking houses of its denizens and green farms and water tanks in the yonder. Ove

Skoda Enyaq Coupe now on sale here

Skoda’s Enyaq Coupe EV has gone on sale in Ireland at a starting price of €56,710, writes Brian Byrne. With a rated range of up to 545km (real-life use may not achieve that) the car offers a model option to its SUV sibling, and a 570L boot capacity is only 15L less. Skoda Ireland says the Enyaq Coupe’s launch here was delayed by 12 months because of demand worldwide, and demand for Skoda’s EV still continues to outstrip supply. There is a choice of two battery sizes, rear- and all-wheel drive, plus power outputs ranging from 180hp to 265hp.
