PNG Kumuls on the rise [Photo by PNG Kumuls Media] PNG Kumuls coach Stanley Tepend told FM 100 Sporty after their victory of Fiji Batis recently in Sydney that their style of game has changed, and PNG has improved a lot in terms of playing structural football. “We have come a long way and we have the systems in place that can help our team perform better especially in terms of structure,” Tepend said. “I so happy to see that we are improving every time we play on the International stage and this speaks volumes of what’s happening behind the scenes.” Outgoing PNG Kumul captain David Mead also commended the rise of PNG in rugby league. “I think we are playing with a lot more structure now than before and there are many young talents coming through so the future for the PNG Kumuls is bright,” Mead added.
