PNG Electoral Commission under pressure

The Papua New Guinea Electoral Commission is under pressure to complete all counting and have the writs returned in seven days’ time. The date fixed for the return of writs is July 29th. And the Governor General is not looking at going beyond that date. Electoral Commissioner Simon Sinai has been seeking legal advice on the possibility of extending the date for the return of writs.  He’s also met with the Governor General to look at the possibilities of extending after July 29th. But the Vice Regal is standing firm on the date fixed. Mr Sinai is still confident of having more than 80 writs before him by mid-next week.  They are looking at immediately getting all counting conducted overnight. Instructions have also been issued to security personnel to shut down rowdy candidates and their scrutineers who disrupt the smooth flow of counting.  NBC / PNG Today Next :  PNG Elections : Maru retains Yangoru – Saussia Seat

It’s the first time in six years that VW has exhibited at the CES, which has become a showcase for high-tech cars from several manufacturers. The ID.7 will have a rated range of 700km, and is expected to be available at the end of this year for 2024 deliveries in Ireland. Prices and specifications will be provided closer to that time.
