PNG Government gives Direction to reinstate ailing Coffee Industry Status

COFFEE growers, investors and stakeholders in Papua New Guinea  need to take heed and work closely with the Marape Government to revamp the once thriving industry. Prime Minister James Marape MP said this was totally necessary to give new direction and focus on re-establishing the cash crop which was and still is the life-line and economic security for ordinary Papua New Guineans and businesses that specialize in the development, processing and export of the commodity. Prime Minister Marape said it was unfortunate that over the years the crop had been allowed to deteriorate through lack of attention, research and development, grower incentives, infrastructure development, downstream processing and other value-adding innovations. He said this time around and under his government, the country has no choice but to directly deal with the industry under a newly created Ministry to oversee its expansion from production through to manufacturing and export. The Prime Minister said the coffee

HOW TO BE VEGAN IN ICELAND: ACCIDENTALLY VEGAN ICELANDIC DISHES AND MORE!

I entered Iceland pre-covid and pre being an actual vegan – I unfortunately ended up being just vegetarian in Iceland (which is not 1/2 vegan or almost vegan, vegetarian =/= vegan at all). This was mostly due to p!ss-poor planning on my part, but, to be fair to myself it really was harder to be vegan in Iceland back in 2016 than it was to be vegan in say  pork and sour cream lovin’ Hungary , adobo and lechon baboy Philippines  or even mozzarella and bolognese lovin’ Italy . I visited all four countries that year and Iceland was by far the hardest. First I’ll tell you why and then I’ll tell you how to (easily) be vegan in Iceland! 😀 How to Be Vegan in Iceland So whaling is on the way out (hopefully). Let’s get to it – how can you be vegan and live deliciously in Iceland? Luckily, you don’t go to Iceland for the cuisine, you go for sites like this: and this: and although here at VeganVsTravel we strive to give you authentic traditional foods that are accidentally vegan and believe that

Author Guest Post - Bernadine Feagins

Readers, please join me welcoming Bernadine Feagins, author of Hakim & Terrance Shadow Mystery who’s guest blogging here today, courtesy Pump Up Your Book Promotion . Hakim & Terrance Shadow Mystery is a children’s book about a boy named Hakim, his faithful dog, Shadow, and his best friend, Terrance. Shadow disappears one day and with the help of Terrance, Hakim’s family and people from the neighborhood, Hakim and Shadow are reunited. The book depicts friendship, hope and devotion to a dog. Both my son and my nephew love dogs, so they were my inspiration for this story. I based my characters on real children. If children can identify with characters, it helps them interpret the events around them and help them solve their own problems like Hakim and Terrance learned as they searched for Shadow. I want children to know that it is important to do the right thing, even though that isn’t always easy. The book is easy to read and understand. It will also help children survive a mo
