PNG's Jakarta Embassy to get K6 million Makeover

Papua New Guinea Foreign Affairs Minister  Justin Tkatchenko has announced a K6 million allocation in the 2023 Budget for the refurbishment of Papua New Guinea’s Embassy office and all its state owned properties in Jakarta, Indonesia.  Minister Tkatchenko upon his arrival in Jakarta on Saturday told staff that Indonesia was among the first of four foreign missions that the government had approved for renovation and refurbishment.  “I look forward in renovating the properties, getting them back to a modern standard as the Republic of Indonesia is an important diplomatic partner to Papua New Guinea,” Minister Tkatchenko said.  While on his way to Bali, Indonesia for the Pacific Forum for Development, Minister Tkatchenko visited the embassy office and all state owned properties in Jakarta.  Minister Tkatchenko said the government was resolute in its commitment to transform all missions abroad and this was demonstrated by tripling the budget for The Department of Foreign Affairs to K120 mi...

Review - Kill Alex Cross

Alex Cross’s beloved DC is in turmoil as Saudi terrorists unleash deadly attacks upon the city at a time when all the alphabet agencies are already scrambling about trying to locate the two kidnapped children of the President of the United States. Is there a connection? The misleading title, a two-pronged storyline that proceeds at two different paces and with varying degrees of suspense, the overall similarity (at least of the kidnap scenario) to a previous (and stellar) Alex Cross novel (Along Came a Spider) and various questions unasked and/or unanswered make for an embarrassingly tepid reading in James Patterson’s latest Kill Alex Cross (Little Brown & Co, 384p, Isbn-0316198730). Tropical Gardens UK: How to Repot a Cycad - Cycas revoluta

A Cycad is a gorgeous addition to a tropical effect, exotic garden but once they get to big for their pot how do you repot a Cycad – Cycas revoluta? Where there are couple of things you need to know to get the best out of your Cycad going forward and in this video as English Horticulturist Simon explains. The first thing to know is they they do not like to have their roots disturbed so try to avoid potting regular repotting. Instead plant them directly into as large a container as you can tolerate. Secondly use ericaceous compost. Cycads are not from the Ericaceae family but they do require a slightly acidic compost around pH 5.5-6.0. Further advise is discussed in the accompanying video.
