 INDIA & PNG MARKS 46TH YEARS OF DIPLOMATIC TIES This year marks the 46th Anniversary of diplomatic relations between Papua New Guinea and the Republic of India since formalizing diplomatic ties on the 19th of May 1976. Papua New Guinea Deputy Prime Minister John Rosso highlighted this when speaking at the 76th Republic of India Independence in Port Moresby, last night. Australian Prime Minister Albanese addresses PNG Parliament

The Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese is the first foreign leader to address the Papua New Guinea  National Parliament since independence. He was ushered into the chamber this morning and seated at the right side of Speaker Job Pomat.
