Illegal Power Consumers to be charged

Illegal electricity consumers will now be charged and prosecuted under the PNG Electricity Industry Act and the Criminal Code. PNG Power Chief Executive Officer Obed Batia issued the warning at the recent launch of the external reward program ‘TOKOUT’ The TOKOUT program will enable the general public to come forward and report illegal consumers and in return receive a cash reward of K250.00. PNG PM Marape Arrives in Bankoko, Thailand for APEC 2022

Papua New Guinea  Prime Minister Hon. James Marape arrived in Bangkok, Thailand, today (November 16, 2022) for APEC 2022. PM Marape was accorded a red-carpet welcome upon his arrival in Bangkok from Singapore. He was accompanied by Mrs Rachael Marape. PM Marape met with members of the Papua New Guinea delegation in Bangkok today to prepare for bilaterals and the APEC Economic Leaders Meeting. His first meeting is with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken tomorrow (Thursday November 17). “This is the first of a series of bilateral meetings to coincide with the main APEC Economic Leaders Meeting,” PM Marape said. “I am also set to meet APEC business leaders tomorrow. “So far, so good, and I look forward to a very-successful APEC 2022 for PNG.” PM Media Next :  Plans for Housing and Land Package for PNG middle income earners announced
