5 AWESOME PLACES TO TAKE YOUR VEGAN FAMILY

It’s one thing to be looking for vegan friendly destinations as a lone adult, because at the end of the day you can always survive off rice and Oreos for a week or so, but travelling with kids is different. Child services isn’t going to be very happy – and that’s nothing compared to how your kids are going to react.. So how can you make sure somewhere is kid friendly, vegan friendly AND kid vegan friendly? With this blog post 😀 But wait, who am I (childless) to have an opinion? What I lack in offspring I make up in extensive experience travelling as a vegan. Additionally, I used to be a kid myself. I remember what they like/don’t like/need etc. Plus, I am calling an open invitation to any parents to add anything they think is important to this post (just email me or write me on Instagram ) Okay let’s get started 😀 Vegan Meal Prep For Vacation To be honest, I think the best vegan meal prep you can do for your family vacation is to pick destinations t...

VEGAN TRAVEL IN SOUTHEAST ASIA

Southeast Asia has a very special place in my heart because it’s the place where the seeds of veganism were officially planted into my head (I saw a dead dog at the meat market 🙁 ). I’ve lived in Bangkok, house sat in Chiang Mai and travelled across Cambodia, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Laos, Thailand and Singapore. Whilst I’m loathe to put these unique countries with their unique histories and cultures into one box of sweeping statements, it still can’t be denied: the food in Southeast Asia is incredible. Yes, even for travelling vegans. In this (hopefully useful) guide, I’m giving a quick overview of the eight Southeast Asian countries I’ve personally travelled vegan in (with an invitation for you to add your own tips for Myanmar, Brunei and East Timor). As is my usual ‘style’, I’m laying out (pun intended?) the accidentally vegan foods of each country as well as the traditional foods of the countries and how t...

Fuel Shortage hits PNG Capital Port Moresby

Papua New Guinea’s capital Port Moresby is facing fuel shortages at the moment .Some Fuel depots   closed and  this event  turned ugly  over the weekend into this morning with vehicles lining up in long queues in various fuel service stations around the capital. According to the road users, each vehicle in the city is allowed to to refuel up to K20 since yesterday (Sunday). The country’s main fuel supplier, Puma Energy in a notice to the national airline, Air Niugini last Thursday states that it will restrict its fuel products to the airline. In a statement, Puma Energy states that the restriction imposed is due to the continuous unresolved foreign currency (Forex) constraints. It however states that it will continue to support all emergency requirements during this period. Meanwhile, Prime Minister James Marape in a statement last night states that the Government is now in serious discussions with Kumul Petroleum Limited (KPL) and three multi-national petroleum companies to find...

Nako: A Rustic Himalayan Gem

It is a gorgeous high altitude village located super close to the Indo-China border in the Trans-Himalayan region of Kinnaur district in Himachal Pradesh. It is famous for its apples, apricots, yaks, horses and a 11th century monastery. I am talking about the rustic Himalayan gem called Nako that is situated at the end of Kinnaur and at the start of Spiti Valley in Himachal Pradesh. Located at an altitude of 11,893 feet and under the backdrop of the mighty Reo Purgyal mountain (22,362 feet), Nako is a small village of about a thousand people in the Hangrang valley. Farming, fruit orchards and cattle rearing are the main sources of livelihood here. Not many tourists stay here. Rather, they continue to Spiti valley for the more famous tourist attractions. But, there is more to Nako than what meets the eye. For starters, there is the Nako lake whose periphery has willow and poplar trees. During the winter months, when it freezes completely, it becomes a skating rink. At other times, it o...

Although many bloggers realize this, they don’t necessarily know what they can do to move past the hurdles in their way and really grow their blog. So, if this is where you currently find yourself, leaving you unsure what to do to take your blog to higher levels, here is a simple 3-step process that can help. Step 1: Identify Your Own Personal Obstacles If there is one thing that is true in business it is that no two entrepreneurs take the exact same path. By default, this also means that no two entrepreneurs share the exact same struggles. Before you can overcome the obstacles unique to you, you need to first identify them. This requires taking a few minutes to sit down and list out the things that are feeling most problematic to you. The Social Ms shares that some of the mo...
