Former PNG  Prime Minister and re-elected Ialibu Pangia MP Peter O’Neill has called out for any leaders who genuinely want to lead the country to put their hands up because he is willing to give his 100 percent support to them. Mr O’Neill said in a statement that the country at this time need a Papua New Guinean who has a vision for the country and who can pull the nation together and take it forward from the economic and social chaos under the current government. He said the National General Election has magnified the level of violence, hatred, and unfairness in the society and it is time for a leader to step forward who can bring peace and execute on clear policies.  Peter O’Neill  Offers Genuine Prime Minister Contenders  “There is a very worrying “fake Government” and deep hatred that has crept into politics under the Marape leadership that is tearing at the cohesion that has kept our country peaceful,” Mr O’Neill said. PNG PM Marape slams Foreign Media

Papua New Guinea Prime Minister James Marape has reminded foreign media that held perceptions against PNG about its lack of female representation in Parliament cannot be accepted as slow progress. Mr Marape responded to a question from the Australian Broadcasting Corporation that despite the election of  Rufina Peter as Central Province Governor, it was still very low. He said it took Australia 40 years to elect the first female into the Australian Parliament and its federation. Australia had its federation in 1901 and the first female elected to Parliament was in 1943 when Dame Enid Lyons was elected to the House of Representatives and Dorothy Tangney was elected to the Senate. For PNG, Mr Marape said it took three years for women to be in Parliament and that is a statement that women were recognized as leaders in the matrilineal communities and in modern democracy his government will support females to enter Parliament through the normal election process. He said there will be no res

PNG PM Marape Disappointed at 'Fake News ' about Mining and Petroleum Conference in Australia

Papua New Guinea Prime Minister  James Marape says it is very disappointing that foreign-owned media in the country continues to run “fake news”. He said this today (December 8, 2022) after an editorial in The National claimed that former Australian Foreign Minister Julie Bishop had rubbished Papua New Guinea at the PNG Mining and Petroleum Conference in Sydney this week. “Nothing could be further from the truth,” PM Marape, who attended the Sydney conference on Monday, said. “The people of Australia and PNG demand an apology from The National for what seems to be a deliberate attempt to damage good relations between our two countries, “Even PNG Chamber of Mines and Petroleum President Anthony Smare, who organised the conference, is bewildered at where The National got this information from. “Such lies, propagated by foreign-owned media in PNG, will only damage the good relations between Australia and PNG that have existed long before they came in. “The 1000-plus people who packed the

After all, you just spent months, maybe years on writing your manuscript. Then you went through the grueling process of trying to get it accepted, experiencing umpteen rejections from numerous agents or publishers, before you finally lucked out and got one to take your work. Then once the hard part was done, you thought to yourself, Yes, I’m finally published! Now I can kick back, relax and watch my book soar to the top of the best seller’s list. Well maybe that might happen in a dream or another world, but in reality, unless you’re the next J.K Rowling or Stephenie Meyer, it most likely isn’t going to be seen in the tea leaves at the bottom of your

Author Guest Post - Maria Andrade

Readers, please join me welcoming Maria Andrade, author of Heart Magic: Keeping Love Alive and Well who’s guest blogging here today! This book describes the 8 important principles for a healthy partnership along with “Do’s and Don’ts” for keeping love strong. The “Heart Magic Skills” To A Lasting Love By Maria Andrade There are three basic things we are not taught to do well in life. These three basic things are: 1. How to get along with the person we hope to live with the rest of our lives. 2. How to raise healthy, creative, children who have self-respect and respect others. 3. How to deal with stress and anger. We know this is true because of the unfortunate divorce rate (one out of two marriages fail in America), the river of children abused in our society and the high degree of addictions and crime, which reflects the stress and rage in our society. Yet, our hunger for information is reflected in the billion dollar industries behind, self-help books and magazines, improvement
