PNG Constabulary mourns the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II

 Commissioner of Police David Manning said Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth the Second, has been a constant presence and beacon of hope for Papua New Guinea as it took its first step as an independent nation 47 years ago. “Sadly, as Papua New Guinea gears up for our 47th independence anniversary celebrations we have learnt of the passing of our Head of State, Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth the Second. “The Royal family has enjoyed a long and close history with Papua New Guinea and especially the Royal Papua New Guinea Constabulary. PNG NAC to under Special Enterprise Review : Schnaubelt

 The Papua New Guinea  National Airports Corporation (NAC) will be undergoing a Special Enterprise Review into the affairs of NAC.  In a statement, PNG Minister for Transport & Civil Aviation, Walter Schnaubelt made the announcement of the commencement of a special enterprise review. Minister Schnaubelt  Minister Schnaubelt says as minister responsible he is very serious in his efforts to improve the NAC, and will ensure that the recommendations on corrective actions are implemented in a structured and sustainable way after the review. The Minister says the review is in line with the Marape – Rosso Government’s drive to restore stability and enhance operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and financial sustainability at NAC. Volkswagen previews ID.2 electric car

Volkswagen revealed a new small electric car as a concept today in Hamburg, writes Brian Byrne. The ID.2all was a preview to a production car that will go on sale in 2025. The ID.2 is the size of a Polo, and Volkswagen are planning to pitch its price point below €25,000. No details of the car’s powertrain were given.
