Sia Maintains Lead as Elimination Proceed for EHP Regional

 After exclusion 52 for the Eastern Highlands Regional seat, 11 candidates now remain in race to be declared at Governor elect for the province. Peoples National Congress Party candidate Simon Sia currently leads the race with 127, 974 votes followed by former Governor and leader of PNG One National Party Peter Numu with 113, 828 votes. On third place is United Labour Party candidate Livingstone Fontenu with 57 478 votes while PNG Party candidate James Pupune trails on fourth spot with 39, 596 votes and rounding off the top five sees independent candidate Pius Kasampi with 31, 697 votes on fifth spot.
