Papua New Guinea Minister for Higher Education Research Science and Technology Don Polye is embarking on restoring the power of Student Representative Councils (SRC) in tertiary institutions. Minister Polye said Papua New Guinea needs to breed a new generation of leaders and restoring and giving more powers to SRC and student leaders in tertiary institutions is the way forward.  Being a former SRC President of the University of Technology in Lae, Morobe Province, Mr. Polye believes that by restoring the SRC, the future of the nation can be moulded and shaped properly.
