EUROPE OR THE USA: WHICH IS BETTER FOR VEGANS?

One of my favourite things about switching to veganism (along with a reduced risk of heart disease and colon cancer) is the amount of questions I get asked (along with the ones I ask myself) – from whether vegans eat bread or not to whether you can be a vegan without being condescending , the questions are abundant. Today’s question is as so: which is the better place for vegans, Europe or the USA? Or, to keep in with this blog’s name sake: Europe Vs USA, which is best for vegans? Vegan In Europe Vs Vegan In the USA And, imo, it’s a fair question. Fuel Shortage hits PNG Capital Port Moresby

Papua New Guinea’s capital Port Moresby is facing fuel shortages at the moment .Some Fuel depots   closed and  this event  turned ugly  over the weekend into this morning with vehicles lining up in long queues in various fuel service stations around the capital. According to the road users, each vehicle in the city is allowed to to refuel up to K20 since yesterday (Sunday). The country’s main fuel supplier, Puma Energy in a notice to the national airline, Air Niugini last Thursday states that it will restrict its fuel products to the airline. In a statement, Puma Energy states that the restriction imposed is due to the continuous unresolved foreign currency (Forex) constraints. It however states that it will continue to support all emergency requirements during this period. Meanwhile, Prime Minister James Marape in a statement last night states that the Government is now in serious discussions with Kumul Petroleum Limited (KPL) and three multi-national petroleum companies to find...

Policewomen in PNG Encouraged to rise, Overcome and embrace equity

Policewomen in Papua New Guinea have been encouraged to “embrace equity” as part of their future to contribute to developing a world that is diverse, equitable and inclusive. The encouragement was made by the Acting Commander of the Papua New Guinea Australia Policing Partnership (PNGAPP) Superintendent Brett Kidner in his opening remarks at the International Women’s Day (IWD) observation last week. IWD is a global event celebrated for social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. It started in the early 1900’s stemming from the fights for equal rights by women in the United States.
