Peugeot has outlined their latest electrification timeline which will see all of the French carmaker’s models sold in Europe fully electric in seven years time, writes Brian Byrne. In the meantime the company has committed to having an electric offering for all of its lineup by 2025. And before this year is over, every model it produces will have an electrified variant of some kind. This will be thanks to a new mild hybrid 48V system that will be a standard opening powertrain in 208, 2008, 308, 3008, 5008 and 408. With a 6-speed dual clutch automatic, Peugeot says these 100hp and 136hp will mean a 15pc improvement in fuel consumption compared to their current engines.
