PNG PM James Marape retains his Tari - Pori Open seat

 Papua New Guinea Prime Minister James Marape  has retained his Tari – Pori Open seat. He is the first Member of Parliament to be declared in the 2022 National Election  with a absolute majority votes. After conclusion of the third day of counting in Tari, he polled  40913 votes well above the absolute majority.  James Marape Mr. Marape has again made history to be the first to be declared for the third time in PNG politics. Ford presents Cork Lord Mayor with electrifying 2023 transport

The Lord Mayor of Cork, Cllr Deirdre Ford, has been presented with a Ford Mustang Mach-E electric car for her official duties, writes Brian Byrne. The extended-range vehicle has a rated range in excess of 600km and is the second year Henry Ford & Son Ltd have provided a Mustang Mach-E to the Lord Mayor. The Cork-based company traditionally provides the official transport for the Lord Mayor. The mayoral car is always the first car each year to be registered in Cork, and it was handed over by the company’s Pádraig Duane. 

FASCIATION ON KNIPHOPHIA

  Fasciation on KniphofiaFasciatum on plants is not as uncommon as you might expect as it is generally overlooked or perhaps unseen within the overall density of a garden. One might say you can’t see the wood for the trees! (Apologies). Botanically speaking, fasciation is the  malformation of plant stems commonly manifested as enlargement and flattening as if several stems were fused. Any occurrence of fasciation may be due to several possible causes, including hormonal, genetic, bacterial, fungal, viral and environmental causes. Fasciation is not contagious, but in those instances where bacteria have caused fasciation it can be spread from infected plants to others from contact with wounds on infected plants and from water that carries the bacteria to other plants.
