PNG PM Marape appeals for Citizens to take Voting Seriously as Campaign winds down

Prime Minister, James Marape, has appealed to Papua New Guineans to take voting seriously, as the country goes to the polls next Monday.  He said the call in Kavieng today as campaigning ends tomorrow. “As campaigns draw to a close across the nation, Mr Marape appealed for peace and reflection over the weekend, before voting starts on Monday. He urged people to pray for God’s inspiration on the election process and the best outcome for PNG. He says God sees right through all motives and the best team of leaders for the next five years will emerge from the campaign and voting. Mr Marape says leaders must be elected to fix those challenges because the bucks stop with leaders, especially the person who becomes the Prime Minister. He says challenges remaining in the country include rampant corruption in the public service, and lack of national development despite being a nation blessed with abundance of God-given resources.  Mr Marape says the importance of good leadership from 2022 going

Marape Government focusses on Strengthening Democratic Processes in PNG

One of the highest priorities of the PANGU-led coalition Government will be on strengthening the democratic processes of Papua New Guinea. James Marape highlighted this during his maiden speech after his election and swearing in yesterday as Prime Minister of the country. “Building a resilient economy is fundamental. Building economic infrastructures is fundamental. Addressing natural resource laws and how we harvest the benefits from these resources at the same time not chasing away our investors is fundamental. Addressing business and investment confidence is fundamental.” “Addressing law and order, working on education and health sector, strengthening institutions of State, Mr. Speaker, I propose to this house, three (3) years from 50 years of nationhood, it is time we this generation pick up the house and do major maintenance work again,” said the Prime Minister. Mr. Marape was elected unopposed as Prime Minister in the 11th Parliament, in an overwhelming show of support yesterday.

A WHISTLE-STOP TOUR THROUGH THE BEST DESTINATIONS FOR VEGAN FOODIES

Travelling as a vegan can be difficult because, unfortunately, you aren’t always able to find good food options that cater to your needs (though luckily fruit and vegetables are near world-wide phenomena). Salad and chips tend to be the default for the most part. Finding destinations as a foodie and a vegan can feel like an impossible task at times. It’s not though, which is why we have put together the following vegan-friendly list of destinations that are a must for foodies. #1. Bali  Bali is an increasingly popular spot for vegan foodies. A lot of places ensure to accommodate for your tastes, with tempeh being the substitution of choice. Ubud is perhaps the best town to visit on your travels, although places like Canggu and Uluwatu are also great too. Bali is obviously pretty tropical, which can make for a great holiday too. #2. Melbourne  Melbourne has received a number of accolades celebrating its vegan cuisine, so it makes sense for it to make this list. Melbourne arguably has t

As I imagined what that world would look like, I did research to see what would happen if the majority of the human race was destroyed during a series of cataclysmic events. I’d always had the impression that a post-apocalyptic world would be a sort of Mad Max and the Thunderdome environmen
