PM Marape Welcomes Secretary-General of Commonwealth to PNG

 Prime Minister   James Marape has welcomed the Secretary-General of the Commonwealth Rt. Hon. Patricia Scotland to Papua New Guinea.  Prime Minister Marape said today of the visit: “I welcome Her Excellency Rt. Hon. Patricia Scotland to Papua New Guinea. “PNG is part of the Commonwealth family of nations which is an important global block of nations.  “As an emerging nation and an island country in the midst of many global issues, like climate change and rising sea level, the economic effects of global geopolitics, and world pandemics and COVID-19, being a part of a family of nations like the Commonwealth is important.  “Collectively, we can stand shoulder-to-shoulder and advocate on these issues that are important to us.  “We appreciate the visit by Her Excellency to PNG. Bilihole Falls: Hidden Waterfall amidst the untouched forests of Western Ghats in Karnataka

It is one of the last untouched stretch of forests in the Western Ghats of Karnataka. A rich and diverse ecosystem survives here completely unaware of the human civilization living beyond their jungle. Great hornbills, leopards, macaques, langurs, king cobras and even tigers are found here. Earlier, this used to be a protected forest reserve, but due to its ecological importance, it has been added to the newly formed Kali tiger reserve. This article is about a short trek to a stunning waterfall and forest view point inside this untouched forest. This waterfall is called Bilihole falls (some people also refer to it as Keppa Jogga falls) and it looks like the trunk of Hindu god Ganesha when you look at it from far away.
