PNG Election Coordination Centre engine room for NGE 2022 set

 The Papua New Guinea Electoral Commission  Coordination Centre will be the engine room for the National General Election 2022. The Electoral Commissioner Mr Simon Sinai made this remark at  the launch of the Centre, last Friday 1 July 2022, adding the purpose of the  Centre’s is  to collect and collate information from provinces during polling and counting, monitor election operations, managing internet and filtering information to relevant stakeholders. PNG Parliament Induction for New MPs gets underway

A week-long official induction for the newly-elected Members of Papua New Guinea Parliament for the 11th National Parliament is currently underway at the State Function room. From head-count, over 60 MPs are in attendance including Deputy Prime Minister John Rosso and Opposition leader Joseph Lelang and the two female MPs Rufina Peter and Kessy Sawang. Parliamentary Service staff are currently introducing their respective divisions and functions to the members.  The presentations include; Public Accounts Committee, Parliamentary Counsel, Parliamentary Committee, Inter Parliamentary Relations, Retirement Benefits Fund, Sergeant-At-Arms and Salaries and Remunerations among others. Doddagaddavalli Lakshmi Devi Temple: One of the earliest known Hoysala Temples

This early 12th century soapstone temple happens to be one of the earliest known temples built in the Hoysala era. It is the only chatushkuta (four shrines) temple built by the Hoysala dynasty. It was the first grand temple dedicated to goddess Lakshmi in the South of India. There are many architectural aspects to it that are unique to this temple only and not found in any of the other Hoysala temples. I am talking about the architectural beauty called Lakshmi Devi temple that is located in the village of Doddagaddavalli. Located somewhere between Belur and Hassan, the Lakshmi Devi temple at Doddagaddvalli is a rural holiday gem set amidst a sleepy village, coconut plantations and a lake. Many things about this temple are unique. It doesn’t have a jagati or raised platform that is common with other Hoysala temples. It has a combination of Kadamba and Dravidian shikharas. It has 4 shrines. And unlike the other Hoysala temples, it lacks ornate sculptures and intricate carvings. From a
