PNG Elections : Extra Security Deployed to Hotspots Areas in Southern Highlands

 Polling in some parts of Southern Highlands commenced today, while polling in some districts in the province started yesterday. Election Manager and Provincial Returning Officer, Alwin Jimmy said the Police Commissioner has directed his office to delay polling in what he termed as “hotspot areas” for extra police security during polling. Mr. Jimmy said Mendi/Munhiu, Nipa/Kutubu and Kagua/Erave regarded as hot spot areas go to the polls today. However, he said polling in the province officially commenced yesterday with people from Imbongu and Ialibu/Pangia districts casting their votes. A New Pathway Begins – SP PNG Hunters players enter Dolphins NRL preseason training

 The SP PNG Hunters currently have four players undergoing fulltime preseason training with the Dolphins NRL squad in preparation for the 2023 season. This arrangement is part of a strategic partnership between the SP PNG Hunters and the Dolphins NRL club which aims to get more local players of Papua New Guinean heritage into the NRL competition. New log cabin breaks option in Galway

An option for short breaks in Galway has come on stream thanks to the installation of 14 log cabins at an adventure centre just outside Galway city, writes Brian Byrne. They are located at Wildlands , operated on a 20-acres site by brother sister duo David and Faye Bohan at Moycullen, Co Galway.  The self-catering accommodation consists of studio cabins, two-bed family cabin, large studio cabins, large studio cabins with kids room, and a large accessible cabin for those with mobility issues. All have a fully fitted country style kitchen including a full suite of kitchen appliances. Wildlands offers a range of indoor and outdoor adventure activities.
