Papua New Guinea Minister for Higher Education Research Science and Technology Don Polye is embarking on restoring the power of Student Representative Councils (SRC) in tertiary institutions. In PNG tertiary institutions, SRC’s are a collection of students elected by their student peers to represent them. Minister Polye said Papua New Guinea needs to breed a new generation of leaders and restoring and giving more powers to SRC and student leaders in tertiary institutions is the way forward.
