Rugby League World Cup : PNG Kumuls 32 beat Cook Islands 16

 Papua New Guinea Kumuls have overcome a early scare from the Cook Islands by beating them 32 to 16 in round 2 of the Rugby League World cup match played  at Halliwell Jones Stadium in Warrington, UK. Only two points separated the  two rugby league nations at half-time, but the second stanza was all the Kumuls, running in four tries in 27 minutes to put themselves back on track for a quarter-final campaign. Indian Prime Minister Modi arrives in PNG for FIPIC Summit

 The Prime Minister for the Republic of India, His Excellency, Shri Narendra Modi, arrived in Port Moresby last night for the Forum for India-Pacific Islands Cooperation (FIPIC) summit. Indian Prime Minister and his delegation were welcomed at the APEC terminal at Jackson International Airport by PNG traditional dancing groups Solomon Islands Prime Minister, Hon. Manasseh Sogavare, Samoa Prime Minister, Hon. Fiame Naomi Mataafa, Vanuatu Prime Minister, Hon. Alatoi Ismael Kalsakau, and New Caledonia President, His Excellency Louis Mapou, as well as other Pacific Island leaders, arrived after lunch yesterday for the summit. The Indian Prime Minister and his delegation were welcomed at the APEC terminal at Jackson International Airport by PNG traditional dancing groups. It is one of those national parks in India where you can see the tiger, leopard, black panther, wild dog (dhole), sloth bear and gaur in addition to other species of wild animals. It is a wildlife destination that has shown a healthy increase in tiger and leopard population in the last few years. As I see it, the wild denizens seem to thrive here.
