PNG PM James Marape retains his Tari - Pori Open seat

 Papua New Guinea Prime Minister James Marape  has retained his Tari – Pori Open seat. He is the first Member of Parliament to be declared in the 2022 National Election  with a absolute majority votes. After conclusion of the third day of counting in Tari, he polled  40913 votes well above the absolute majority.  James Marape Mr. Marape has again made history to be the first to be declared for the third time in PNG politics. PNG PM James Marape Denies Being Chased out of Wewak

Papua New Guinea Prime Minister and Tari-Pori MP James Marape has denied he was chased out of Wewak in East Sepik province, where he and his Pangu Pati members have set up camp in an attempt to form the new government. In a statement today, Mr. Marape called on fake news peddlers to apologise to the Somare family and people of Wewak and East Sepik Province. He said this in response to a fake news story widely circulated on social media today that he was chased out of Wewak by the Somare family. “People propagating these lies must apologise to the Somare family and good people of Wewak and East Sepik that I was chased out of Wewak.” “I neither met with Sana Somare nor got into a confrontation with him, leading to me being chased out of Wewak.”  “It is very unfortunate that people are so gullible and believe the lies being spun,” said Mr. Marape. PNG PM Marape Opens ESP Specialist Hospital

Papua New Guiena Prime Minister James Marape, MP officially opened the East Sepik Provincial Specialist Hospital today in WewaK, East Sepik Province. Prime Minister Marape said in 2022, the National Government made a decision to build provincial hospitals around the country in the 22 Provinces and the Autonomous Region of Bougainville. “We made that decision after COVID-19 shutdown the country and revealed to us that we had only 44 beds with inbuilt oxygen valves in the whole country,” he said. “Another thing was that Health and the economy go hand in hand.
