 Papua New Guinea Police Commissioner David Manning  has  confirmed to local media that his men intercepted and confiscated 250 kilograms of illegal drugs  methamphetamine  and apprehended two Malaysians and two Papua New Guineans after  being tipped off during the early hours of 2am today in NCD. Manning says a small quantity of the illegal substance was  supposed to be posted overseas but was intercepted by police.  This led to the arrest of the two PNG nationals and two expatriates of Malaysian origin. Manning says there is an emergence  of a well organized crime syndicate involving nationals and expatriates and it is posing a threat to National security as well as threat to the young and mobile population of Papua New Guinea. The suspects are in police custody and will be charged under the Amended Act on Dangerous Drugs Act and other Proceeds Crime Act and Money Laundering Act. It is one of the prettiest ghat roads in the Western Ghats of Karnataka. It is one of the few untouched tract of pristine forests left in Karnataka. It is one of the top monsoon routes of Karnataka.
