PNG Election Coordination Centre engine room for NGE 2022 set

 The Papua New Guinea Electoral Commission  Coordination Centre will be the engine room for the National General Election 2022. The Electoral Commissioner Mr Simon Sinai made this remark at  the launch of the Centre, last Friday 1 July 2022, adding the purpose of the  Centre’s is  to collect and collate information from provinces during polling and counting, monitor election operations, managing internet and filtering information to relevant stakeholders. PNG Deputy Prime Minister John Rosso retains Lae Open Seat

Papua New Guinea Deputy Prime Minister and Lae MP John Rosso has been declared on first preferential votes this evening scoring almost 27 thousand votes. Rosso collected 26,864 primary votes reaching 50 per-cent plus one or  absolute majority of the total votes. The votes were received across Lae city from 65 wards. He thanked the people of Lae for showing the confidence and returning him overwhelmingly in his victory speech at the Sir Ignatius Kilage stadium. “Bikpla thank you tru long ol pipol blong Lae disla absolute majority yupela sowim, me tok thank you and I stand very humble before all you peers.
